El Segundo, Calif.-based Hughes’ earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 50.1 percent for the quarter to reach $123.1 million, compared with $82 million for the April-June period last year. EBITDA margin climbed 5.6 percent in the quarter, compared with an EBITDA margin of 4.1 percent a year ago.
