Open Question: Sony Home Theater System DAV-HDX589W?
I am looking to buy this home theater system, but I have a couple questions before I do, hopefully someone can help me. So I have a PS3, a directv satelite box and a 2009 40″ Sharp Aquos. Ok want I want is to be able to switch inputs and play the PS3, watch satelite, or use the dvd player on the home theater system in the best possible surround sound. From what I have read, if I connect a digital optical cable from the home theater system to the TV and then HDMI cables from the PS3 and direct tv box to the TV it should work correct? I don’t need any other cables correct? If there is anything else I need to know, such as changing something in my tv settings, could you please let me know. Thanks for any help.
The home theater system only has one digital optical port, one HDMI port, and basic red and white port.

If Lil Wayne is from Mars, then Erykah Badu is the high priestess of Venus. It’s a cosmic bummer that the syrup-soaked rapper and the future-funk diva hadn’t thought to pair up before Badu’s new single, “Jump in the Air.” Originally a cut from her upcoming “New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh” album, the duo’s collaboration leaked and was …
