DirecTV Parental Control Function is Fool Proof

June 30th, 2007

People often assume incorrectly that the parental control feature on the Hughes receivers that DirecTV carries exclusively are there only for the purpose of blocking out adult programming in a programming package, so under aged viewers cant access them when they are using the TV set in your home.

So who is telling the truth? With DirecTV, the facts speak for themselves and they make no claims that they cant substantiate with real numbers. Twenty-five channels of sports programming, makes DirecTV the industry leader in sports programming and this is a fact. DirecTV even has some sports channels that they have exclusive broadcasting rights to, that you cant get from anyone else.

Hughes reiterated its outlook for $9 billion to $9.2 billion in revenue this year and between $750 million and $850 million in EBITDA. Management also said it expects to add between 1 million and 1.2 million net new subscribers in 2002.

Hughes, a unit of General Motors, posted a net loss of $132.6 million compared with net income of $1.06 billion in the same period last year. Those results included a big gain from the sale of a satellite manufacturing business to Boeing.
