How can I watch satellite TV for free in the US without monthly subscription?

I’m wondered,if there is a way to watch satellite tv channels for free in the US without beign a subscriber to a local cable or Satellite TV company>
I’ve been to Europe and my friends had some kind of pirate-made cards for receivers to watch satellite tv for free.
Could I buy a satellite system over Ebay?
If yes, could someone suggest me any decent satellite systems on the market?

    It would be easier to steal cable, but I don’t recommend it.

    There were card codes which were stolen and sold on e-bay for a while, now the Satellite companies have become aware of that scam so each receiver box is hard coded with an address chip, so it is extremely difficult to steal the signal and be able to decode it.

    Do not waste your money in buying a stole card.

    At Radio Shack, you can buy an old fashioned antenna like those they had back in the 70’s, that you erect on the roof of your house and get free TV….. of course you’ll have to pay for the cost of the antenna but then you’ll have free TV. Where I live, you get good reception.
