One of the things it will do for you is record one program, while you are watching another at the same time. If that isn’t enough for you, it will also record both of the programs simultaneously. There is also a search function that you can use to find a program you are interested in. Simply enter in the name of the program, or even the name of an actor in the program or movie and it will instantly apear on your screen with some relevant information about the movie or program.

If you can’t be there to watch it, just press the record function and it is set to record it when it does come on even while you are gone and its all just that easy with the Hughes receiver with DVR function. If you love commercials you can record all of them with it but if your like most other people, you will use the function to zip right past any commercials that come on the regular programming you are watching.
